Hi all,
So many things happening
and so many projects we’re working on, too much for 1 newsletter, so we’ll
limit ourselves here to an update on the sound project, the rest will have to
wait until May;-)
This Wednesday we have
a presentation about the Astroplant, really looking forward to learn all about
this crowdsourced spacefarming DIY initiative! Also Paola, our
co-organiser has designed an IoT device to identify accidents with bicycles, she
will guide us through her (challenging) journey of developing this Crash
Notifier from the conceptual idea up to a working prototype.
During our labevening on May
1th Remko Melkert from OBA will give an introduction to Fusion 360 (Autodesk)
to teach you how to 3D design! Very handy if you want to experiment/prototype
with the lasercutter or 3D printer. Laptops with the software are available, so you don’t need to prepare anything!
Amsterdam Sounds project
We have a nice group
of people with various backgrounds now working on the “smart sound sensors”. We
have developed our first prototypes and Henk updated the sensingclues/openears
repo with install & run instructions. So if you
follow them, you should be able to install and operate your very own openears
pi and classify sounds!
