Join us in kicking off our new event series with a lightning round of community show-and-tells. The theme: share your fails and what you've learned from them! We invite every developer (yes, you!) to submit an informal 5-minute story showing off your best fails, foibles and fiascos.

• Bonus: every show-and-tell speaker will get some super snazzy Sentry swag as a gift!

We'll select speakers on a rolling basis -- so the sooner you submit, the better!

Here's some inspiration to get those creative gears turning:

• AI gone awry
  Example: "A robotic arm trained to slide a block to a target position on a table achieves the goal by moving the table itself." (via https://tinyurl.com/yaflloq6)

• Strange side effects
  Example: the SFMTA recently had a bug in its transit data feed resulting in Google Maps suggesting hilariously inconvenient travel directions (via https://tinyurl.com/yyln28yy)

• That time you (or "not you") took down the production server, and how it led your team to improve their processes (or not)

• An intermittent bug, the many hoops you jumped through to replicate it, and how you banished it once and for all

• Any of your funniest face-palm moments (and what you learned to never ever do again)

Why only 5 minutes?

• To encourage every developer to share their experience in a casual, fun environment. (Everybody has a story to share!)

• To explore diverse topics from a diverse group of speakers. (Get a taste of something new in our potluck-style buffet of ideas!)

• To invite those new to public speaking to make their voices heard. (We're super low-key and judgement-free!)
