About us
Welcome to the Reading-Berks D&D Adventurers Guild! The initial goal of this group will be to establish a standing D&D 5e game (or multiple). As we gain members with the proper knowledge, I'd love to see us branch out into Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Monster of the Week, Star Trek... any TTRPG game system really.
Our group (and all of our games) are open to beginners. Game Masters are more than willing to help you learn. We will also post Learn to Play sessions semi-regularly. If a particular campaign has already been running for several sessions, it will be up to the discretion of the Game Master to decide whether it is OK for you to join late.

Dragon Delves 2: Baker’s Doesn’t
·OnlineOnlineThis series of sessions come from the Dragon Delves book. Each session of this campaign is also a stand-alone one shot. So it’s up to you whether you want to drop in for a single session or come along for the entire ride!
For this session, we will be using THIRD LEVEL characters.
I prefer that you use 2024 rules for character creation, but don't fret! This doesn't rule out the use of 2014 races/subclasses/backgrounds. There's a very simple procedure to convert 2014 to 2024 (found in the 2024 PHB). I will be more than happy to teach you how. Milestone Leveling, No Encumbrance, Ignore Coin Weight. Standard Array or Point Buy for Abilities.
For simplicity's sake, I ask that you limit your character to the bounds of official published D&D content only. No Homebrew. No Partnered Content. No Third Party content.
If you're new to character creation, just message me and I will help you through it. We'll use D&D Beyond for this.
What you need:
- A computer or tablet (It's possible to use a phone, but far from ideal)
- Some sort of headset (Earbuds with a build in mic are fine)
- A free Discord account
- A free D&D Beyond account
- A web browser of your choice (We'll be using the D&D Beyond VTT)

Session 0: Play-By-Post D&D
·OnlineOnlineThis will be a 1-hour (or less) voice chat to discuss Play-By-Post D&D.
Play-by-Post is a fully text-based game. Instead of requiring you to schedule 3+ hours in your day to play a more traditional game, Play-by-Post allows you to play anytime you have 5-10 free minutes, straight from your phone.
If you get shy or have anxiety about roleplaying on microphone or at a table, this might be a good way for you to play without the stage fright.
Also, if you consider yourself more of a writer than an actor, Play-by-Post may be for you.
In this meeting, we'll discuss how gameplay works and whether this style of play may (or may not) be for you. I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability. If there is interest, I will have a small "test" adventure ready to go.
This event is online, and will require you to have a free Discord account.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING, YOU ARE STILL WELCOME TO PLAY THE GAME. JUST MESSAGE ME ON DISCORD (@n3ud), AND I'LL FILL YOU IN.

D&D One-Shot Adventures!
·OnlineOnlineWelcome brave adventurer! Every 4th Thursday we will be running Online D&D 5e one-shot adventures (from the One Shot Wonders book by Roll and Play Press). These are fun, mostly beginner-friendly adventures that usually take about 2-3hrs to complete.
Magic Items will be approved on a session-by-session basis.
For this session, we will be using 5th Level characters.
For simplicity's sake, I ask that you limit your character to the bounds of official published D&D content only. No Homebrew. No Partnered Content. No Third Party content. It's just too much to keep track of when we are creating new characters on a regular basis.
I’ll add a story hook when we get a little closer to the day of the session.

I'm Too Old For This Sh** - A D&D One Shot
·OnlineOnlineYou've lived a long, hard life of adventuring. Your knees are creaking, your back hurts, and your eyes aren't what they used to be. If you survive this job, though, it promises to pay enough gold to keep you financially secure for the rest of your life.
How will old age affect your character specifically? We'll let the dice decide!
Before the session, I will have you all roll on a de-buff table to see just how bad the ravages of time have been to you. One thing is for sure: You're too old for this shit.
Character Creation
Characters will be 15th Level.I prefer that you use 2024 rules for character creation, but don't fret!
I'll have instructions about Magic Items and the De-Buff table in the Discord.
Don't be afraid to really get weird with it! You've been adventuring for decades. You've seen some things...
Unlike my regular One Shots, I will allow a non-game-breaking amount of Homebrew and/or 3rd Party content. Just run it by me first.
If you're new to character creation, just message me and I will help you through it. We'll use D&D Beyond for this.
What you need:- A computer or tablet (It's possible to use a phone, but far from ideal)
- Some sort of headset (Earbuds with a build in mic are fine)
- A free Discord account

- A web browser of your choice to run the Virtual Tabletop (We'll be using Owlbear Rodeo for this one).
