Coffee & Birds

Join park naturalist and avid birder Rob Bergstresser for some morning coffee and birding! We'll enjoy some bird-friendly, certified organic, shade-grown coffee before heading out on the trails. This will be Rob's final park program, before he moves into a new position with DCNR, so be sure to come out for the last Coffee & Birds program!
Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, but a limited number of binoculars are available for loan during the program.Registration is REQUIRED, as group size is limited. Easton History Hike

Join a state park naturalist for a hike along the historic Delaware Canal Towpath while we talk about the history that shaped Easton during the Revolutionary War. This hike will be on mostly flat ground and cover a total of 5 miles round trip. We will briefly rest at the canal’s Northern Terminus halfway through (roughly 2.5 miles) and then begin the trek back to Wy Hit Tuk. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking, bring sun protection, and water. There are flush restrooms at Wy Hit Tuk Park. Tree ID Hike
Tohickon Valley Park, 165 Cafferty Rd, Pipersville, PA, US***Program Location: Tohickon Valley Park, 165 Cafferty Rd., Pipersville, PA ***
If you wander through the woods & wonder about the trees you are seeing, then join us for this hike and learn to identify some of the more common trees in eastern PA! Along this 2-3 mile hike, we will observe & identify about 10 native tree species.
This hike will be at a moderate pace, with many stops along the way. The trail surface is rocky and uneven and there will be some elevation changes.
Please bring binoculars (not necessary, but helpful), water and wear sturdy footwear -- and if you have a favorite tree ID guide, bring that along too!
The hike may be cancelled or postponed in the event of inclement weather or hazardous driving/trail conditions.
