What we’re about
South East Queensland Boating Buddies is a relaxed, social community for people who love the water — whether you own a boat, kayak, tinny, sailboat, cruiser, or simply dream of getting out there one day.
Big or small, powered or wind-driven — if it’s safe to explore Moreton Bay and surrounding waterways, you’re welcome here. And if you don’t have a vessel yet but have the passion and want to learn, dip your toes in, and meet like-minded people, you’re just as welcome.
This is not a yacht club. There are no blazers, committees, or gatekeeping. Just a group of friendly boating enthusiasts who enjoy:
• Exploring Moreton Bay and nearby waterways
• Sharing knowledge, experience, and tips
• Regular on-water outings (weather and conditions permitting)
• Casual on-shore catch-ups, coffees, meals, and planning sessions
• Supporting beginners and learning from seasoned cruisers
South East Queensland has some of the most incredible places to explore by water, and boating is better when shared with good people.

This group is not a club and does not hold public liability insurance. Participation is at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure your vessel is seaworthy, properly insured, and equipped with all required safety gear. Always operate safely and within maritime regulations.
