SPEAKERS
Ely Lucas - Testing with Cypress (cypress.io)
Ely is the head of Developer Ecosystem at Cypress and loves all things web. He shares knowledge by speaking at conferences all over about web, developement, and testing. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and four kids.

Devin Fitzsimons - Full Stack with SST (sst.dev) and DynamoDB
Devin is a senior software engineer with a passion for interactive user interfaces, serverless engineering, and state machines to describe complexity. For frontends, I tend to prefer React, Typescript, and Tailwind. For backends, I prefer AWS CDK paired with DynamoDB.

AGENDA
5:00 pm - Arrive & settle in
5:15 pm - Speaker - Ely Lucas
Testing is hard. At Cypress, we aim to make it easier and more approachable for developers. You might have heard of Cypress and how it excels at end-to-end testing, but did you know you can use Cypress to test APIs as well?

With Cypress and the Cypress API Plugin, you can test your API endpoints using the same tools, and APIs developers already know and love.

In this talk, Ely will guide you through how to use Cypress as a development tool that you can use while developing your APIs while giving your a repeatable test suite to go along with it! We’ll review the Cypress API Plugin that provides an intuitive user interface and powerful features and how to set up Cypress to aid your development workflow.

6:00 pm - Speaker - Devin Fitzsimons
Devin's focus will cover full stack type-safety with SST, DynamoDB, tRPC.

SST is a framework for building serverless applications that simplifies the deployment process and provides an easy-to-use programming model. DynamoDB is a fully managed NoSQL database that provides fast and predictable performance with seamless scalability. trpc is a TypeScript-based RPC (Remote Procedure Call) framework that enables type-safe communication between different parts of a web application.

Learn how to leverage the power of SST, DynamoDB, and trpc to achieve full-stack type safety in their web applications. They will leave with a clear understanding of the benefits of type safety and the tools they need to implement it in their own projects.

6:30 pm - Network and Job Board
7:00 pm - Event ends
