July 8th - Q3 2026 ServiceNow Developer Meetup - Build Agent Hackathon

Please note: This is our new developer meetup format, built for technical practitioners who want to get hands-on.

A couple of name changes to be aware of:

• Our broader community event, open to all ServiceNow practitioners, formerly called Developer Meetup, is now called "ServiceNow User Group - SNUG." You can find the Q2 session here: https://www.meetup.com/servicenowyyc/events/314794544.
• The public event sponsored by ServiceNow is called "SNUG Live." It's run by ServiceNow, not by this community, and is completely separate from what we organize here.

As always, our community events include no recruiting, no sales, and no commercial discussions.

This quarter we're doing something different for our first iteration of a Developer Meetup. Less talking, more building. 🛠️

We're running a BuildAgent hackathon and you're invited to come make something. Open build, low pressure, bring whatever idea you've been sitting on. We'll publish a couple of starter prompts a few weeks ahead if you'd rather walk in with something to riff on.
Solo or team, your call. Teaming up is fun and we encourage it, but flying solo is just as welcome.

Agenda

• 3:30 – 3:45: Arrive, settle in, find a build buddy if you want one
• 3:45 – 4:00: Quick intro to BuildAgent and how the session runs
• 4:00 – 5:30: Build time (90 minutes)
• 5:30 – 6:00: Optional show-and-tell, share what you made
• 6:00 – 6:30: Hang out, compare notes, wrap up

No pressure on the show-and-tell. If you build something you're proud of, show it. If you'd rather experiment quietly and see what others made, that's completely fine. The point is to play with the tool, not to win anything (but we will have some goodies available for grabs!).

What to bring

1. A laptop
2. A Personal Developer Instance (PDI) with BuildAgent installed
3. Your PDI upgraded to the Australia release, so you get all 25 free BuildAgent prompts for the month

If you've never set up a PDI or installed BuildAgent, do it before you arrive so you're ready to build at 4:00. Reach out if you get stuck and we'll help - ping Andreea.

If you share with a colleague, remind them they need to join the Meetup group first AND then RSVP to the event.

A selection of snacks will be provided - vegetarian options available, gluten-free options available.
