What we’re about
You know that feeling when the lights go down, the first chord hits, and you realize you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be? Yeah, us too. Setlist Social is for people who live for that moment—whether it’s at a tiny DIY spot, a packed Mission Ballroom show, or somewhere halfway up the hill at Red Rocks.
If you've been curating playlists for over a decade, drive to Indie 102.3, still check Pitchfork (even when you disagree), and occasionally find yourself deep in a Gorilla vs. Bear rabbit hole, you’re our kind of people.
What to Expect:
- 🎶 Catching the best shows—indie gems, buzzy up-and-comers, and big-name legends around Denver.
- 🍻 Pre-show hangs—because concerts are better with good company.
- 📀 Music deep dives—debating albums, swapping playlists, and sharing experiences.
- 🎭 Exploring Denver’s creative scene—vinyl digs, art pop-ups, weird little bars.
- 👥 This one’s for the grownups—25+. We love you, next generation, but let’s be real—friendship is easier when you're at a similar point in life. We’re all balancing work, passions, and the occasional late-night show (that we’ll regret the next morning). We love knowing exactly where to park and maybe sneaking out before the encore (just once). No age cap, though—if you’re still excited to stand in the pit, we’re excited to stand next to you.
A Few Simple Rules:
- 📸 Use your real name & clear picture of your face. We’re here for music, not mystery.
- ✅ RSVP responsibly. Two no-shows and you’re ghosting yourself. Really though, we count no-shows and may not invite you back after a couple.
- 😷 Stay home if you're sick.
Finally, support keeps us going: Setlist Social is a labor of love—Meetup organizers pay $360/year out of pocket to host. If you’re able, we suggest a $5 donation per event or $20/year to help keep the events coming. 💖

See all- 🪞 Beach Fossils @ Summit Music Hall ($15 Throwback Tix!🔥)Summit Music Hall, Denver, CO
Beach Fossils make lo-fi indie that sounds like a faded memory—all jangly haze, soft sadness, and late-summer nostalgia. Their sound is understated but addictive, the kind of thing that sneaks up on you three tracks in and suddenly becomes the only thing you want to hear.
> “Beach Fossils master the art of melancholy without saying too much—they just let it shimmer.” – Stereogum
- 🔹 Who They Are: Brooklyn dream-pop staples known for crafting mood-heavy, deceptively simple songs that drift between surfy ease and shoegaze gloom.

- 🔹 Essential Track: “Down the Line” — catchy, wistful, and perfect for staring out of bus windows dramatically.
- 🔹 Must-Listen Album: Somersault — layered, lush, and their most emotionally refined work.

🚨 Heads up—This IS a DIY event
I'm not able to attend this as host, but I still wanted to give y'all a platform to easily coordinate. If you're planning to go and want to roll with a crew, RSVP and plan to make it your own using the comments to coordinate.Q: What's the RSVP policy?
A: RSVP etiquette is crucial! No-shows can throw off the vibe of the event, so we kindly ask that you shoot the host a message or un-RSVP before the event starts if you can't make it. Two no-shows may result in removal from the group.Q: How can I support?
A: Did you know that your humble organizers pay about $360 a year to bring events to you on Meetup? A tiny annual donation from you is all it takes to keep the events coming. Suggested donation is $5/event or $20 for unlimited events. Just send a Venmo/Paypal to me @mandirao (or ask me for Zelle). Couldn't do it without you! - 🕶️ Black Rebel Motorcycle Club @ Summit Music Hall ($15 Throwback Tix!🔥)Summit Music Hall, Denver, CO
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club do grimy, leather-jacketed garage psych with the kind of swagger that only comes from two decades of playing in the dark. It’s fuzzy, hypnotic, and built for late nights and long drives—somewhere between a sermon and a standoff.
> “BRMC make distortion feel like gospel.” – Pitchfork
- 🔹 Who They Are: West Coast lifers channeling feedback, blues, and shoegaze gloom into something loud, moody, and totally locked in.
- 🔹 If You Like: The Raveonettes, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Black Angels, Spiritualized
- 🔹 Essential Track: “Whatever Happened to My Rock ‘n’ Roll” — urgent, snarling, and still hits like a first cigarette.
- 🔹 Must-Listen Album: Howl — their dusty, gospel-tinged detour into Americana that still broods under all that reverb.
- 🎤 Why This Show? If you want your rock & roll loud, shadowy, and a little dangerous, this is your Sunday ritual.
- 📍 Meetup Plan: You decide! Maybe meet at Atomic Cowboy at 6:30 PM for pizza and tallboys before heading into the chaos at Marquis?
- 🎟️ Tickets: $15 @Live Nation/Summit while supplies last

Couldn't do it without you! - 🎸 Turnstile, Mannequin Pussy, SPEED, Jane Remover @ Project 704600 Humboldt St, Denver, CO
Indie 102.3 is throwing down a wild one: hardcore, noise-pop, and raw emotion all colliding under a bridge. Turnstile headlines with their signature blend of chaos and joy, backed by Mannequin Pussy’s razor-sharp punk, SPEED’s no-holds-barred beatdown, and Jane Remover’s glitchy, genreless heartbreak. It’s giving Show Me the Body meets Wednesday—with a little Dreamcrusher-style unraveling for good measure.
> “Turnstile make hardcore feel like freedom.” – Pitchfork
- 🎤 No opener—it’s a four-way main event.
- 📍 Outdoors. All ages. Under the viaduct at Project 70.
- 🧃 Might get loud, might get weird, definitely worth showing up early.

Couldn't do it without you! - 🐺 Wolf Alice @Ogden TheatreOgden Theater, Denver, CO
Wolf Alice make feral, shimmering alt-rock that snarls one moment and sighs the next. With a sound that moves between shoegaze haze and grunge bite, they’re as at home whispering into the void as they are blowing the roof off. It’s Garbage-level glam with My Bloody Valentine mood swings—and somehow it all hits.
> “Wolf Alice are masters of loud-quiet-loud, but the real magic is how much feeling they pack into the spaces between.”
> Read more: Pitchfork- 🔹 Who They Are: A London four-piece who’ve quietly become one of the UK’s most vital rock bands, shifting gears from dream-pop to full distortion without ever losing the thread.
- 🔹 If You Like: Garbage, My Bloody Valentine, PJ Harvey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs
- 🔹 Essential Track: “Moaning Lisa Smile” — dirty, explosive, and made for a night like this.
- 🔹 Must-Listen Album: Blue Weekend — their most cinematic and emotionally sharp release yet.
- 🎤 Why This Show? If you like your guitars thick with reverb, your vocals both venomous and vulnerable, and your Friday nights loud, this is the one.
- 📍 Meetup Plan: Meet at Dew Drop Inn at 6:30 PM for cocktails, then walk two blocks to Ogden.
- 🎟️ Tickets: $75 at Ticketmaster. Pro tip: Skip the fees and get a paper ticket to any Bluebird, Ogden, Gothic or Mission show at any one of those box offices when you're seeing your next show. Weigh the benefits of easy transfers + potential sellouts on your own terms.
