🔥 Indiewood Street Fest @ S. Broadway & Hampden

Details
Psych-folk, R&B, and dream pop collide at Swallow Hill’s Indiewood Festival—featuring Kiltro, Rootbeer Ritchie, and more. This daylong all-ages block party with food trucks, local brews, and a lineup of standout Denver and national artists. Expect sunny grooves, shoegaze textures, and life-affirming soul in the heart of downtown Englewood.
> “The most soulful Rhythm & Blues band this side of the Mississippi and one of the most life-affirming acts in Denver.”– Oh My Rockness on Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille
- 🎶 Who’s Playing
🔹 Kiltro: Shoegaze and South American folk swirl into something hypnotic and transportive. If Khruangbin had a Chilean cousin, this would be it.
🔹 Yarn: Americana storytellers with road-dusted harmonies and a jam-band spirit. Think The Lumineers if they hung out with Leftover Salmon.
🔹 Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille: Seven-piece R&B force of nature. Equal parts grit, groove, and joy—come ready to dance.
🔹 Sunstoney: Dreamy indie pop with Ethiopian soul and ethereal production. Feels like floating in soft light.
🔹 Barbara: Wobbly shoegaze meets psych-rock grit—distorted but delicate, like your favorite blurry photo. - 🎧 Essential Tracks
- Kiltro – “The Drunk” (lush, layered, and hypnotic)
- Sunstoney – “Jaded” (great for dreamy solo walks or golden hour drives)
- Rootbeer Richie – “You Are Love” (horns, heart, and groove)
- 🎤 Why This Show? Because sometimes you just want to wander a blocked-off street with a beer in hand and music in the air. Indiewood offers a uniquely Denver blend of style, spirit, and sound.
- 📍 Meetup Plan: TBD – Possibly meet at the gate at 12:30 to wander into the groove.
- 🎟️ Tickets: $24 at the main website
Q: What's the RSVP policy?
A: RSVP etiquette is crucial! No-shows can throw off the vibe of the event, so we kindly ask that you shoot the host a message or un-RSVP before the event starts if you can't make it. Two no-shows may result in removal from the group.
Q: How can I support?
A: Did you know that your humble organizers pay about $360 a year to bring events to you on Meetup? A tiny annual donation from you is all it takes to keep the events coming. Suggested donation is $5/event or $20 for unlimited events. Just send a Venmo/Paypal to me @mandirao (or ask me for Zelle). Couldn't do it without you!
