David Bowie’s Blackstar was haunting, bold, and ahead of its time—so of course it’s getting the orchestral treatment it deserves. This isn’t just a tribute—it’s his original collaborators (including saxophonist Donny McCaslin and members of the jazz quartet who helped shape the album) teaming up with a 65-piece symphony to perform Blackstar live, front to back. Then they’ll go deeper, with lush orchestral versions of “Heroes,” “Life on Mars,” and more from the Starman’s galaxy-spanning catalog.
