Acton Arboretum

Details
GPS: 10 Taylor Road, Acton, MA
The Acton Arboretum is one of nature’s local gems featuring 20 acres of lawn, tended gardens (by volunteers!), ornamental trees and shrubs. Its acreage consists of woods, meadows, old apple orchards, a glacial esker, wetlands, two ponds, and a bog… with gentle grades, a mix of paved and stone dust paths, benches, and picnic tables.
Gardens include: herb garden, butterfly garden, hosta garden, daylily garden, rhododendron garden, lilac fragrance garden, and a pond planting.
Usually, we spend our time in the areas of the Wildflower Loop and Orchard Loop. I’ve used macro, kit (74-120), and mega-zoom (150-600) lenses here.
