Sew and Tell - Cork

Sew and Tell is a group for garment sewists in a sea of quilting and knitting communities. We love all fibre arts, but there’s something special about creating clothes that fit your unique style and your body.

Our group welcomes all skill levels; we believe that complete beginners and seasoned veterans can learn from and inspire each other. While most members focus on sewing garments, our interests also include bag making, home décor, stuffies, embroidery, mending, upcycling, and more.

At our meetings we gather to share projects, discuss patterns and fabrics, learn new skills, and make new friends. We look forward to meeting you!

About the organiser

My name is Kimberly and I’m a new resident of Cork, but not new to sewing or building community. In my hometown of Austin, I joined a sewing social Meetup group in 2016 and eventually became a volunteer organiser. Along the way I’ve met so many amazing women, learned a lot, laughed, and made wonderful friends.

I love sewing, fabric, and talking through sewing challenges. It’s like problem‑solving, but more fun. I’m excited to help create a sewing community here with ye!
