About us
Whether you just sewed your first project or you've just sewed the bias tape onto a Mona Lisa quilt blanket, you're in the right place.
Sew and Tell SWFL is inspired by a video I saw online. Ladies gathered at a nursing home and did a show and tell of their recent sewing projects. Each sewist would then explain their work and the process that went into it. If asked by the sewist, each member gave helpful input on the project. All sewing levels are welcomed! *Rules are listed at the very bottom.
Examples of sewing projects are (and not limited to)...
- quilt blanket
- hand/tote bag
- doll clothes
- clothes
- cosplay/costumes
This will be a virtual meetup unless otherwise specified.
PLEASE NOTE: To keep the sewing meetups afloat, there will be a $6 fee monthly for the first few months so that we can fund the group and myself, the organizer. If able to, I also accept funding via Pledge to help fulfill our monthly bill. When more people join, I will lower the monthly bill. Thank you in advance!
*Rules:
- No hate or discrimination of any kind (racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. are not tolerated)
- Strict no AI policy as this takes away jobs from artists and strips the environment. If you are found using AI within the group or within your sewing work, you will be banned.
- No making fun of anyones work. Please keep in mind some are more experienced than others and we are learning everyday.
