Do you have a non-existent fabric stash? Or maybe you have a huge stash, but are bored with it?
Just like a clothing swap, a fabric swap event is a place where you can bring your fabric, yarns, fibers, and notions to swap for new items. You are also invited to bring or wear your completed projects to show off to those who will appreciate all your hard work and creativity.
Destash, and then find a few gems. Empty out your fabric bins and come swap with other sewists at our fabric swap and project showcase.
What to swap:
-Fabric remnants
-Fabrics by the yard
-Sewing supplies (thimbles, scissors, needles, thread, tools, ect.)
-Sewing notions (buttons, trim, elastic, snapshot, etc.)
-Yarn (please ensure all yarn is already wound into balls or neatly organized)
-Patterns
Rules for the swap:
-Bring items to swap. Bag small notions, and label 🏷 whatever you can. (Fabric & fiber type and yardage is the most important info.)
-Bring your own bags for swapping. A few extra will be available for those who take home more than planned, but you are expected to bring what you need to carry out your swaps.
-Take what you need. While there is no limit to what you can take, please only take what you need. This is a destashing event after all!
-Please do not make messes of the fabrics. Keeping things organized and sorted will help everyone have a happy swapping experience. Please do your best to keep the piles neat and orderly.
-Food should be kept away from the swap items
We will meet at the picnic tables in front of the mural wall.
