Urbano Drive Stroll in Ingleside Terrace
Details
Meet up at 230 Urbano at the corner of Borica. Parking is very easy!
Stroll along historic Urbano Drive, a semi-circular former and controversial racetrack from the late 1800’s. It’s now a lovely residential part of Ingleside Terraces with great looking homes and gardens.
Urbano Drive is completely flat which makes for very nice strolling. It’s an easy walk with pretty homes and interesting gardens to admire.
Urbano is off Ocean Avenue, near the historic El Rey, and not far from City College.
Because it was a racetrack it’s calibrated to be one mile from where we start to where we return after doing one lap. After our 1 mile stroll, we go a block or so away to the famous sundial to admire the history and architecture. You can see part of it behind the photo above.
Optional – after we have done our one-mile walk feel free to get a few more laps in, including if you want to pick up the pace from a stroll to a more vigorous walk.

My plan is to make walking Urbano a regular event! Possibly even more frequently than once a week. Contact co-host Gail with your thoughts about ideal days and times.
Rain cancels.
