Symantec C++: “Lightning Talks”

Details

This month’s meeting won’t be a single full-length presentation; instead, we’ll have three (or more!) lightning talks from our members.

• Jeff Trull will give a lightning talk on Efficient Sequences from Streams using Boost, a topic he previously presented at C++Now 2015.

• Jacob Potter will give a short talk on nn<>, a non-nullable pointer wrapper, which he’ll also present at CppCon 2015 this fall.

• Arthur O’Dwyer will give a lightning talk on abusing operator overloading to create Analog Literals.

If you’d like to dip your toes into the waters of “presenting at a C++ Meetup” with a 5- to 20-minute lightning talk of your own, please post in the comments or send a message to the organizers. We’ll make room for you on the schedule!

When: 6:30 pm, Monday, August 24th, 2015

Where: Symantec, 303 2nd Street, San Francisco, North Tower, Floor 10

Transit: We're a three-block walk from the Montgomery BART station, or about 7 blocks from Caltrain.

Meetings are open to the public and free of charge; food will be provided.
