What we’re about
We love to just... go! "There is something in human nature, and something in the American character, that will continue to call to those who ride and those who dream of riding to faraway places." We're two locals who strive to do just that, to share our knowledge of the SF Bay Area and our secret (or not so secret) favorite spots along the road. Join us for one of our upcoming rides TBA soon...
🏍️ Gender balanced // All makes & colors (bikes & humans) // All backgrounds welcome // Safety first // 🚫 No drama // Always fun 🏍️
NB. We recommend you have at least 2 years of street riding experience on motorcycle 400cc or larger. You need to be comfortable going 75mph on the freeway, and at least the speed limit on surface streets and backroads.
NB2. This group is sponsored by Native Moto Adventures as part of their commitment to the Bay Area riding community. Please follow us @RideNative

- Santa Cruz via Big Basin WayStarbucks, Saratoga, CA
Join us for a ride down to Santa Cruz via Big Basin Way! We will meet at Starbucks in Saratoga at 9:30 AM on Sunday, June 22--KSU 10 AM. You MUST attend the Safety Talk (@9:55 AM) to ride with us. Please arrive with a FULL tank of gas. In total we will ride about 130 miles (no highways).
Starting in Saratoga we will make our way to Route 9 with a detour through twisty Big Basin Way, and stopping for a coffee break in Boulder Creek. Then we get onto Bear Creek, making our way to Old Santa Cruz Highway, and then stopping in Santa Cruz for gas and lunch (TBD - options: Betty Noodles, Sushi Mori, Sesame Korean Grill, Kianti's Pizza & Pasta Bar, Five Guys). After lunch we take Empire Grade to Jamison Way, head back down through Boulder Creek, and stopping for a break on Route 9 with a scenic view. For the last leg, we go up Skyline, down Page Mill Road, and finish the ride at Starbucks in Menlo Park (Shell Gas is nextdoor). Final route may change slightly, but these are the key aspects of the ride.
Rider Guidelines (Please read before signing up):
- The pace will be spirited -- you should be comfortable going 10-15 mph above the recommended speed limit
- You should be comfortable lane splitting and passing cars in a single lane
- You should be comfortable doing 130+ miles of backroads in a single day
- I recommend everyone download the route (near final draft)
- I recommend bringing sun protection, snacks, and something to drink!
TL/DR:
- Meet at **Starbucks in Saratoga **at 9:30 AM (with full tank of gas)
- KSU at 10:00 AM
- Lunch in Santa Cruz around 12:30 PM
- End at Starbucks in Menlo Park around 4:00 PM
Ride will be rescheduled if it rains.
Let me know if you have any questions!
