About the Host
Don Reed was an NPR Snap Judgment Storyteller of the Year. His solo storytelling shows have won and been nominated for multiple Theatre Bay Area, Off Broadway NY, and NAACP Awards. Most recently Reed was triple nominated for the 2024 BroadwayWorld San Francisco Bay Area Awards for Best Solo Performance/Best Play/Best Director. Reed was also the longtime opening act/warm-up comedian for The Tonight Show. He recently partnered with Johnny Carson's - Carson Entertainment Group for his multi-media one man show "The Never Too Late Show", sharing producing duties with Seinfeld writer Pat Hazell. Don is the host and creator of tonight's event - sharing producing duties with friend and entertainment partner Mike Ghiringhelli.
