What we’re about
This is a group for anyone who is interested in the Bible. If you want to better understand its stories and teachings or why it matters today, this is the group for you. At every gathering, we will read and discuss the text together so that we can understand and live out the message that we observe. Whether you'd describe yourself as a seasoned Christian or you've never read the Bible before, all are welcome.
We look forward to growing together!

An overview of the letter:
"This letter was written during one of Paul’s many imprisonments for announcing Jesus as King. Unlike his other letters, this is addressed to a group of people that he had never met and a community that he didn’t start. The church in Colossae was started by a coworker of Paul’s named Epaphras, who was from Colossae (Col. 1:7-8; 4:12-13). Epaphras had recently visited Paul in prison and updated him on how well the Colossians were doing overall. However, Epaphras had also mentioned some of the cultural pressures that were tempting them to turn away from Jesus. Paul wrote this letter to encourage the Colossians, address the issues Epaphras had raised, and challenge them to a greater devotion to Jesus." (Bible Project)The aim of our study:
To determine what the message of the writing is and make relevant, honest applications for our walk with Jesus. All are welcome to join!
