SF Bitcoin Devs Seminar: Bitcoin Project Updates and Developer Networking
Details
We're taking the event on the Road to Pubnub!
We will provide updates on the 2 Sunday Projects:
Project 1: John Light & Dark Wallet/OpenBazaar:
We'll be hacking on a Dark Wallet + Open Bazaar integration to build a private P2P marketplace with private P2P payments. Most of the heavy lifting has already been done, now we have to do the delicate work of fusing these projects together. Check out the latest builds @ https://github.com/darkwallet/darkwallet and https://github.com/OpenBazaar/OpenBazaar respectively, and feel free to contact the devs on IRC if you have any questions. See you at 20 Mission! - John
Project 2: Bryan Vu & Coinshuffle
If you're interested in learning more about Node.js, Websockets, Bitcore, Bitcoinjs-lib, the SF Bitcoin Devs HD Wallet, and how they can all be combined in a project to improve the privacy and fungibility of Bitcoin for mainstream users, I'll be giving an overview of the CoinShuffle/CoinJoin proof-of-concept that I wrote. For those who are interested in quick coding exercises, there are many areas where the code can be improved, modularized and tested. For those who are interested in a bit of a bigger challenge, there are a few key features missing that will be necessary for the wallet and server to be usable in practice. As we go through the overview, I'll point some of those out. Anyone who's interested in learning and/or contributing welcome! - Bryan Vu
