SF Bitcoin Devs HackDay: BitSeed Hardware

The Bitseed Bitcoin Edition (https://bitseed.org/product/blockchain-node-developer-version/) is a plug-and-play dedicated Bitcoin full node hardware device. Plug it into power and a router, and within a few hours it will be fully synchronized with the current Bitcoin block chain. John Light is organizing a Sunday session to deliver a short presentation about Bitseed and get feedback from the SF Bitcoin dev community about how the device could be improved. Here are some proposed projects we can work on for the rest of the session:

• Discuss pros and cons of different full node implementations that can run on the device (right now it runs bitcoind).

• Create a nice looking UI that device owners can access through their web browser to view information about their node and the overall Bitcoin network.

• Make a desktop thin client that connects to the Bitseed device and uses the full node as a wallet back end.
