We just checked: coinmarketcap.com is currently tracking 1,593 different cryptocurrencies, with new coins, tokens, projects, and ico's added every day. In all this noise, how can you find the gems? What do the apples and the oranges look like, and which is better? This month we are diving deep into the techniques and theory currently being honed and tested for researching, analyzing, and assessing the plethora of options. Join us for presentations from two people whose job is to figure this out, followed by a joint panel with Q&A.

This months speaker(s) are: Jay Severson and Brian Ng!

Jay Severson is co-founder and CEO at Rency.com, a cryptocurrency ratings and blockchain research company. Jay also started Chess.com in 2006, today with 22M users worldwide. Jay launched one of the first bitcoin skill-betting sites, gambit.com, in 2013, and also helped launch Cointerra. Jay will be discussing the cryptocurrency industry and its lack of any comprehensive ratings and metrics, and what his team at Rency has been working on over the last few months to try and address the problem.

Brian Ng is the Chief Product Officer for Canary Network, a subscription service and advisory for unbiased research on blockchain projects, ICOs, token offerings, and cryptocurrencies. In addition Canary is also building a token curation market. Brian is a writer and economist who has worked for Lightyear.io / Stellar Foundation and TGG Group, where he worked with economists such as Steven Levitt and Daniel Kahneman. He graduated with a degree in Economics and English Literature from the University of Chicago with Honors.

Every last Tuesday of the month, we'll be hosting speaker(s) or a panel session to highlight various projects and topics in the world of bitcoin. All speakers will be live streamed, and the remainder of the evening will be for networking and socializing. We'll have free beer, other beverages and food as usual (the food usually goes quickly)!
