The SF Ethereum Developers Meetup is back! Join us for our inaugural event after two long years where we shut down for COVID. Special thanks to SKALE for sponsoring this first event.

Jack O'Holleran on SKALE's New Features

Jack is the founder and CEO of SKALE, an Ethereum scalability protocol. SKALE recently built a new open-source bridge security framework that can be used by any EVM project/chain. Jack will walk us through this new framework and how it can be implemented in your project today.

Ameen Soleimani on Building a Better Stablecoin

Ameen is a long-time Ethereum developer, co-creator of MolochDAO, and the co-founder of Reflexer Labs, which created Rai (Reflexer Finance), which is a fully decentralized stable asset that uses PID controller mechanisms to dampen its price volatility. Vitalik has tweeted and written about it often, most recently in, “What in the Ethereum Ecosystem Excites Me.”

Ameen will take us through a short history of stablecoins and their technical variations, explaining why many have failed to meet their design goals. He'll talk about issues with becoming multi-collateral, why centralized USD-backed coins are problematic as a long-term solution, and how decentralized stablecoins/stable assets are the best options for seamless use and scalability.

Year in Review/Post FTX Outlook Panel

Join us also for a great panel where we discuss the crazy happenings of the past year. Grant Hummer will lead a conversation with a handful of top Ethereum analysts and developers who will discuss the current state of projects and protocols in a post FTX world and explain why many devs are still heads down building a decentralized world. Come with questions and enjoy a lively debate on what 2023 and beyond holds.
