This Meet-Up is being relaunched as of September 2026!
This group is a forum for queer men who are actively seeking a committed, long term, intimate romantic relationship. Our meetup is a safe place to explore themes of honesty, authenticity, healthy boundaries and self love as the gateway to creating more intimate connections with other men and to feeling more whole and more joyful within ourselves regardless of relationship status. And hopefully we can do some fun stuff socially along the way!
Given the prevalence of app culture, social media, body obsession and the bar scene, queer men often find themselves feeling isolated and longing for deeper connections. This is a group dedicated to those who seek to explore and express what's important in our individual relationships - and in some cases, break through our own barriers that may be preventing us from enjoying the intimate romantic relationships that we seek.
We will be speaking from "I" statements, sharing our own desires, values, needs - and sources of inspiration and joy. My intention is to build a bond of trust and support within the group so that we can honor, encourage and inspire one another in our quest for intimate romantic relationships.

About Me: I'm a middle-aged gay guy who has been around the block for a few decades with themes such as: dating, body image, hook-ups, feeling different, lack of role models for intimate male relationships, feeling disappointed, sad, yearning for community and deeper relationships. I've done and continue to do a lot of inner work on myself. And it continues to be fruitful - one day at a time. I'm also a psychotherapist and have worked with countless people around these issues for many years. I didn't create this meet-up and I'm not sure who did. But when I saw that the previous organizer had stepped down, it seemed like a good fit as I care a lot about themes. My intention is to be a supportive member of this community as I continue to learn and grow with you. Once again, I am NOT facilitating this group as a therapy group - but rather as a guy who's going through the motions of being a queer man in the SF Bay Area.
