Talk Details:
Talk 1: Grats: Bringing implementation-first GraphQL to TypeScript
Description: Existing tools for building GraphQL servers in TypeScript involve boilerplate, duplicated definitions and complex type validation. Grats employs a novel static analysis approach that lets you granularly expose your existing TypeScript classes/methods/types/functions in the graph without duplicating names or types. We'll discuss the ergonomic advantages of this implementation-first style of building a GraphQL schema, as well as the innovations required to bring this approach to TypeScript.
Speaker: Jordan Eldredge is a Frontend Infrastructure Engineer at Meta
Talk 2: AI: GraphQL vs. SQL as the unified semantic layer on your data
Description: Just like your federated data API strategy, Generative AI works better when it's grounded by a semantic layer that unifies your underlying set of heterogenous data sources, and has an analytical runtime. See this system in action and let's chat about the design decisions that went into deciding between GraphQL and SQL as the right interface for this layer.
Speaker: Anushrut Gupta is a Senior Product Manager (Gen AI) at Hasura
Talk 2: AI-Powered GraphQL Query Generation
Description: Join Dan from rconnect.tech as he introduces GQLPT, a npm library that transforms plain text into GraphQL queries. Learn how to set up a TypeScript instance of GQLPT and replace your existing GraphQL calls with simple plain text queries. Dan will also dive into advanced topics, showing you how to take GQLPT to production using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and vectorized embeddings. This talk is perfect for developers looking to streamline their GraphQL workflow and leverage AI for more efficient API interactions.
Speaker: Dan Starns is the founder of rconnect.tech
Seating is limited so register to block your seat! If you're interested in speaking, please reach out to harsha@hasura.io
