Let's take our intellectual discussion beachside, down to Pacifica, just a few miles south of San Francisco.

This spot is just a 20-minute drive from many spots in San Francisco. As the attendee list gets finalized we can talk about carpool options.

We have 3 options of meeting areas at 100 Esplanade Ave depending on weather and the feelings of the group: an indoor common space, an outdoor seating area, or on the quiet, dog-friendly beach -- all with ocean views :D

We'll vote on two topics to discuss as usual, but this time, with some cool salty air and the sound of the ocean waves ...

This group always offers mutual enrichment of perspectives through discussing deep topics in the company of warm, insightful people. Many of us are regulars, but newcomers are welcome!

For this discussion, we might be inspired by the setting to discuss environmental-related issues, such as:

Do we know more, and should we know more, about our oceans or our solar system? Nearly 100% of the surfaces of Mars and our Moon have been mapped by satellite, but only about 25% of the ocean floor has been mapped with sonar. 12 people have walked on the Moon, and only about 5% of our oceans have been directly visited by humans. Should we put more money, research, and efforts toward the exploration of space or the ocean?
