Zend Framework 2 in the Fast Lane

Zend Framework 2 in the Fast Lane

Learn how to make your Zend Framework 2 application fly using ESI (Edge Side Includes) and Varnish web application accelerator. In today's web applications, personalized sections and data that is frequently updated mean full-page caching is rarely an option. Using ESI and Varnish, we will cache a generic site layout for as long as possible, and have it request personal data and frequently updated data in separate requests. This will result in much better perceived performance and much less load on application servers.

I have just install the zendframework 2 ,how can i use it to create simple html page? knowing the Album tutorial provided by the guide manual of zend is a bit complicated for me to understand ,so is there a simple application to start with ? thanks in advanced

Frameworks aren't really used for simple HTML pages, so you are probably going to have to slog through the Album tutorial.

Good presentation and Q&A afterwards. Besides presenting the target topics, Nick incidentally demonstrated Zend Server and Zend Studio. Two Zend reps were there and gave away a Zend Framework 2 live online course.

Excellent ZF2 presentation without a lot of Varnish whoo-de-la-la

Was hoping for more of an overview of the Zend 2 improvements, rather than just focusing on one widget... albeit an interesting one!

Sounds like an interesting presentation but am I correct in assuming that you would need to know Zend Framework 2.0 pretty well to get the anything out of it?

Hey Ron, I think you will be fine w/o prior knowledge of Zend Framework 2.
