This is the new date for the event: The Oakland Ferry Terminal is a great place to sketch the estuary with views of Alameda and the San Francisco skyline, plus watercraft of all sizes and the weekend visitors to Jack London Square just south of the terminal. Meet Janet at one of the benches near the loading area at 10 am. We'll share sketchbooks at the same location at 12:30 pm.
There is a farmer's market in Jack London Square, with nearby public bathrooms and water.
Directions: By water from SF: The ferry accepts Clipper cards but will also sell you paper tickets. The 9:20 am departure from Gate G1 at the SF Ferry Building arrives in Oakland at 9:55 a.m. The next ferry departs
at 10:35 am and arrives at 11:10 am. See https://sanfranciscobayferry.com for the full schedule.
Driving: From northbound 880, exit at Broadway and turn left onto Broadway to go under 880 and into Jack London Square. Turn right at Broadway & Embarcadero or 1 block earlier at Broadway
and 2nd Street and look for parking. Street parking is free on Sunday but requires a little searching.
