San Francisco Presidio, Tunnel Tops & Beyond

Meet Janet at the picnic area between the transit center and the Presidio Visitor Center. We can share sketches at the same location unless it's too windy, in which case we can line up sketchbooks against a sheltering wall nearby. From the picnic area, it's a short walk north to the Tunnel Tops with great views of the Golden Gate bridge and all sorts of free range humans. Behind the transit center is the
parade ground with historic buildings, food trucks and more humans, sometimes dogs, and western gulls stalking their lunches.

Directions: For transit users, the free Presidio Go shuttle starts from 50 Beale Street at 9:30 am, with stops in front of the SF Hyatt next to the end of Market Street, Drumm & California streets, and Van Ness Ave on the way to the Presidio transit center. Shuttles start every 1/2 hour if you miss the 9:30 bus. Embarcadero station is the BART station nearest the shuttle stop.
