Sketching the Ghosts of China Camp
Details
Our next Marin Sketchers Meet Up event will be at China Camp State Park. This is an old Chinese fishing settlement that has an intriguing and mysterious history. Prior to the arrival of the Chinese in the early 19th Century, it was inhabited for thousands of years by the Coast Miwok people.
This a popular drawing location for artists. There's lots to sketch: the fishing pier, shrimp processing racks, Frank Quan's Cafe, old shacks and rusted machines.
We'll meet at 10:00am and throw down sketches at noon. There should be parking on the beach or up at the picnic area. Here's a map. Note: The parking and day-use pass is $5 per vehicle.
