The Interval at Long Now is a unique cafe and bar tucked inside SF's Fort Mason Center. Part coffeehouse, library, museum, it's home to the Long Now Foundation, an org dedicated to long-term thinking and humanity's future over the next 10,000 years. Their space is filled with books, curious artifacts, intricate machinery, and stunning design details. I've gotten a lot of steampunk intellectual vibes from it.
Note: If you're a coffee enthusiast, the SF Coffee Festival is happening right across the way at Fort Mason all of that weekend. I personally am attending the 1:30 session, which is $38 if you buy on their site. Message me if you wish to meet earlier for that. Otherwise we'll see you all at the Internal at 3pm.
This is organized by the Cafe Art Circle meetup under SF Sketchers. We explore coffee and tea shops around the Bay Area, using sketching as a way to experience the atmosphere of each place and its neighborhood.
