⏰🚨NOTE ON TIME: I missed changing the time on this one to 6 like we've been doing the last few months. I updated it to 6, but we're going to start content at 6:30. If you show up on time for the original time, you're still good to go, but feel free to show up at 6 if you want to grab some pizza and a drink and hang. 🚨⏰

Alright, after one false start, we're officially off to the races! The very first SF Video of 2024 is finally here, it's been far too long. We've got a treat this month too, and maybe even two speakers. Maybe. The second speaker mentioned something about "water broke" earlier today, which...I'm going to go on a limb and say he's probably not going to make it, but hey, we'll see!

Before we jump into the speakers, quick ask: if you're up for speaking at a future meetup, shoot me a note! It can be any time between February and October, I love setting up speakers months in advance. Seriously. It's the best. YOLOing this out there as I type this: I'll create and buy special SF Video swag for any speakers in 2024. What will it be? I don't know!

Eric Zawolkow (Meta) - "Producing sports content for VR"

If you were at Demuxed '23, you may have seen Eric in a corner at one point or another with a Quest Pro on his face. "Wow, that's a really cool thing to be doing in public," you probably thought to yourself, but not only was he making a bold fashion statement, he was working on something pretty awesome: watching live sports in VR. He's going to tell us about his work on it! Woo!

In case it's not clear, I (Matt) wrote this description, so don't hold it against Eric if this is not a good description. Eric's a long-time OG at both the meetup and the conference, so it's a treat to get him on stage!

IRL Logistics
Our host building has security people downstairs, and they require us to have a list of names downstairs for check-in. Just to make sure we can have everyone printed out, please make sure to RSVP by ~5pm on Thursday.

Mux put together a page on details for getting in.

Can't wait to see folks!
