Nick Chadwick - AI and Open Source - fun new tools for the video toolbox
In this talk I’ll be reflecting on the past year in AI, with a focus on new open source AI tools and how we can leverage them in video workflows.

I’ll take a look at some popular open source models like whisper and llama, and how we can leverage them locally. I’ll also touch on vector embeddings and vector databases, and explore some fun new use cases these tools unlock for video.

I’m also going to break my number one talk rule of “no live demos” and try to actually show these tools running locally, to give folks an idea of just how easy (or hard!) some of these new tools are to get running.
