🎤 Zoe Liu (Visionular) - A^2 (AI+AV1) for Video Codec Optimization

One essential target for video codec optimization is to deliver superior subjective quality at the lowest possible bitrate. In this talk we will mainly focus on the optimization of AV1, the newly finalized open source, royalty free video codec standard. We will describe several state-of-the-art schemes on how we may leverage the use of machine learning to further improve an AV1 encoder to achieve the essential target.
