Richmond Yacht Club Sail-a-Small Boat Day
Hosted by North Bay Sailing Meetup Group
Details
Now in its 34th year, Richmond Yacht Club Sail A Small Boat Day is a free and informal gathering, open to anyone who wants to attend – sailors and non-sailors, young and old alike.
Richmond Yacht Club ask that people bring their own PFDs and warm clothing, but RYC do provide PFDs as needed, in all sizes.
RYC is hosting this event to connect people in the Bay area with small boat sailing. We expect that as many as 200 people may attend throughout the day. The club provides a free hot dog lunch for you and all who show up.
This is great event to try sailing a small boat. Bring your family as its open for kids too. If you plan to sail in a single handed boat by yourself, bring a towel, a change of clothes and wear a swimsuit under your clothes as some of these boat do tip over.
But in general you can ride along, in many boats, with an experienced skipper and they will not tip the boat over.
