Welcome to the SF BAY REAL ESTATE CLUB!
This group is designed for discerning real estate investors and professionals who are committed to not only expanding their networks but also forging meaningful, lasting relationships while identifying and developing opportunities. Organizer: Brenda Chen, based in San Francisco, is the Managing Director at Conventus Lending, a nationwide lender to real estate investors with over $9 billion in funded real estate projects. Passionate about financial empowerment, she founded the SF Bay Real Estate Club in 2018, which now has over 1,600 members. In 2020, she launched Venus Ventures, investing in technology and real estate development in Northern and Southern California. My name is J Thomas Martin, and I started this conference wayyyyyy back just after the financial crisis at San Francisco State University. With a smaller group our first time, we charged forward with a lot of the first diligent moderators from BiggerPockets, along with the then-Podcast Host, Brandon Turner. While it was not a BP event, (and I encourage you to go to the BP Conference also!), this kicked off what would be one of the most fun reunions of real estate investors in the San Francisco Bay.

OK! You got me! I was traveling around SouthEast Asia, Latin America, and riding motorcycles around while enjoying the fruits of my labor. I got into real estate investing to travel the World, and I sure as shit took advantage of the opportunity when I created it for myself!! :)I had the time of my life, and don't regret a thing. But damn did I learn a lot of lessons along the way, including getting annhilated by rising interest rates and cap rates as an investor in many syndication deals. But the network I've built over the years had helped me get where I've needed to go. So I'm proud to be able to bring back a networking event like this for so many investors.
