Join us this week for a presentation about housing in San Francisco!
A pioneering product in a growing City focus on digital services, the San Francisco DAHLIA Housing Portal makes affordable housing easier to find and apply for. Started out of a prominent public-private partnership with Google and the Civic Bridge program, and with guidance and inspiration from Code for America, the US Digital Service and other groundbreaking civic technology efforts, the Housing Portal is a great example of how technology can be put to good use for real change.
Join Ashley Meyers from the new San Francisco Digital Services team, and Barry Roeder from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) for an in-depth discussion of lessons of product development to date, agile efforts in a government context, and work to share the open source initiative beyond San Francisco. As an added bonus, Charlie MacNulty, the chief data guru for MOHCD, will discuss the department’s involvement with San Francisco’s DataSF open data initiative, and share about anticipated data publishing developments.
