SFDUG: Drupal 7 End of Life Strategies

Join SFDUG on Wednesday, July 10 at the UCSF Mission Center as we dive into strategies on moving your site off Drupal 7, which has been on an end-of-life roadmap for sometime.

Will have two talks:
Irina from Fibonacci Web Studios (https://fibonacciwebstudio.com) will provide an overview of the options available to Drupal 7 site owners, including:

• Full migration to Drupal 10
• Migration to Drupal 10 with Retrofit Module for Drupal 7 code
• Migration to Backdrop CMS
• Extended Security Support for Drupal 7

She will also discuss the benefits of moving to Backdrop CMS and, if time permits, conduct a live demo of the migration process.

Then Eric from University of California will discuss his experience thus far with Acquia Migrate Accelerate, which is now open source.
He'll outline his experience with some of the pitfalls setting it up and some issues troubleshooting a real life migration.
