What we’re about
SFE Shooters is a nonprofit organization comprised of like-minded individuals that enjoy shooting rifles, pistols, and/or shotguns. We promote firearms proficiency through educational programs, group practice sessions, and match participation. Our membership is diverse, ranging from new shooters to serious competitors, and includes teens, retirees and men and women from all walks of life.
We shoot at ranges all over the Triangle Region, whether it's a match or a practice session, however Cypress Hall Plantation in Louisburg is our primary venue. We are also accommodating to members needs relative to the events we post, including convenient locations and times of day. Weekends are typically match oriented, and as such we will seek to schedule practice sessions during the weekday or evenings after work with some weekend practice sessions available. Our goal is to be as accommodating as possible.
We ask that our members be active participants in the group. If you can only commit to one event every three or four months, you're likely not going to make measurable strides to improve. So before joining, be serious about having fun and becoming a better shooter. Our promise to you: "We will provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment where you will have an incredible amount of fun while becoming significantly more proficient with your firearms."
