Dinner & Drinks at Dumpling Kitchen & Bar in Burlingame: Table for 8
Details
SF Foodies hasn’t gone for dim sum in at least a month. (Our collective cholesterol has likely returned to healthy levels by now!) But what’s better than dim sum? Dim sum with cocktails!
Dumpling Kitchen & Bar is a highly rated restaurant and bar in downtown Burlingame. Indeed, they claim to be Burlingame’s No. 1 Dumpling Kitchen and Bar, so let’s just take them for their word on that.
We’ll sample their soup dumplings, pan fried buns, “secret” chicken wings, noodles, and classic cocktails. You can check out their menu here and a gallery of scrumptious images here.
All food will be shared family style, and the food bill will be split evenly. Hopefully with a big group, we’ll be able to widely sample the menu. On the other hand, if you have significant dietary restrictions, you may wish to skip this event.
Downtown Burlingame also has a selection of ice cream shops, including Salt & Straw, Baskin Robbins, and Buena’s Organic Soft Serve, if anyone is hungry and up for a short walk after dinner.
Costs
We will split the bill for food evenly amongst attendees. I expect food will run between $20-30 per person. Everyone is responsible for the cost of their own drinks. No separate checks. Please be prepared to reimburse the host via cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay.
Taxes and Fees
Dining in Burlingame has a sales tax (9.625%). The restaurant may add an employee health surcharge and likely a mandatory gratuity for a large party.

Parking in downtown Burlingame is available on the street and in public surface lots, but it can be hard to find on weekends. If driving, give yourself enough time to find parking and walk to the restaurant.
