CHAB™ is moving from MeetUp to Heylo (https://heylo.group/chab)!

Happy New Year! I hope you are enjoying your holidays. Thank you all for joining CHAB™ (California Hiking and Backpacking). It’s been fun hiking and/or going on trips with those of you who participated.

I have decided to move CHAB™ to [Heylo.com](http://heylo.com/) as MeetUp has increased its fee from ~$200/year to ~$360 for the past year and a half.

I have been donating the expenses as I love to share the joy of backpacking. However, the increase cost and my limited time just doesn't make sense any more. I rather donate the money to charity than to Meetup.

I haven’t organize much events in the last two years due to a knee injury and low energy. As I have currently returned to school to study music, I won’t have much time but hope to organize some camping and backpacking trips in the summer (and possibly in April). I may also do a workshop on ultralight backpacking. For those of you who enjoy photography and music, I would love to connect.
