Meet Mike Driscoll and learn how to create GUIs with PySimpleGUI
Details
SF Python is starting our first meetup of 2022 with the incredible Michael Driscoll. You've probably stumbled upon his popular blog "Mouse vs Python", read one of his books, or listened to him on Real Python. He'll be showing us how to create cross-platform GUIs using Python and PySimpleGUI.
And because of our virtual venue sponsor SauceLabs, you'll be able to interact with our speakers and other attendees like you would in an in-person event.
๐ Please scroll down for the complete speaker line-up, abstracts, and FAQ on how the virtual platform works.

Creating GUIs with PySimpleGUI by Michael Driscoll
Learn how to create cross-platform GUIs using Python and PySimpleGUI. The PySimpleGUI packages is a wrapper around several other cross-platform GUI packages that simplifies how you create GUIs with Python.
Instead of OOP boilerplate, you use regular Python code and functional programming to create your GUIs with PySimpleGUI.
In this talk, you will learn the basics of PySimpleGUI and I'll show you multiple mini-applications that I have created so you can get an idea of what you can do with this Python package.
Mike Driscoll has been programming with the Python language for more than a decade. When Mike isn't programming for work, he writes about Python on his blog, Mouse vs the Python, and contributes to Real Python. He has worked with Packt Publishing and No Starch Press as a technical reviewer. Mike has also written several books on the Python programming language.
