Design Patterns in Ruby - SF Ruby Book Club

Hello again!

SF Ruby is pleased to announce another Book Club meeting, graciously hosted by Onelogin, this coming July 21, 2016.

We'll be reading this month from Design Patterns in Ruby, by Russ Olsen. Russ is a respected member of the Ruby community, and is also the author of Eloquent Ruby.

My goal is to work through Chapter 9: Filling in the gaps with the Adapter. What's your goal for this month's SF Ruby Book Club?

We have door prizes! We'll be giving away 3 Ruby books.

Schedule:

6:30-6:45 meet and greet

6:45-7:00 (ish) lightning talks: 1. Chapter 9 The Adapter Pattern, 2. Your Talk Here.

7:00-8:00 Discussion

8:00-8:15 Door prizes!

8:15-8:30 wrap up: announcements for future events, etc.

Hi folks, we have a full house and a lot of people on the wait list.

    Please update your RSVP!

    More news:

    * Onelogin is providing some pizza!

    * There will be at least one lightning talk based on Chapter 9 of Design Patterns in Ruby.

    * Door prizes! We have 3 Ruby books courtesy of Pearson, and 2 hoodies courtesy of Onelogin (these are *nice*).

If you're on the waitlist, and close by, there's a good chance you'll be able to get in.

Please update your RSVP. This is important, there are people on the waitlist who have expressed interest.

---> Did you know your cohost, Dave D, made connections at Ruby meetups that has led directly to employment in cool jobs, twice? If you don't know, now you know. <---

    Lastly, please update your RSVP.

At Onelogin's request, waitlist is 45 people. Please manage your RSVP accordingly! Expect reminders about RSVP. If you're high on the waitlist, you'll probably get in. If you RSVP because you "might" want to attend, consider waiting to see how your schedule looks closer to the date.

Thanks and hope to see everyone, or at loads of people.
