What we’re about
This group is for anyone with a fondness for software development. We will not be limiting ourselves to one such topic. Instead the idea is to cover any and all things dev. Ranging from the usual suspects (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) but we'll also dive into other topics like programming languages like PHP, Ruby, C# and server technologies.

Learning way too much about audio programming to meet Mark Rober - Presentation by Nate and Enoch Bradshaw
What happens when you mix music theory, real-time audio processing, and a tiny microcontroller? You get an embedded system that makes noise, teaches harmony—and somehow lands you at Open Sauce, surrounded by YouTube’s most chaotic inventors.
In this talk, we’ll dive into how we used Rust to program audio in real time on the Daisy Seed microcontroller, how we built an interactive music project from scratch, and what we learned about embedded development (and public demos) along the way. Whether you're into low-level programming, audio synthesis, or just curious how music theory meets machine code, this session will hit the right notes.
Expect code, chaos, and maybe even a live demo—assuming nothing catches fire.

AI Vibecode Shootout - Hosted by Myke Bates
GPT Assisted description!
The next installment in our Shootout series is here, and this time we’re letting the robots in.🤖
We’ve explored mobile/js frameworks. We’ve compared CMSes. We’ve battled over CSS.
Now we’re throwing out the rulebook and letting AI loose in the codebase.
This is the AI/Vibecoding Shootout — and we’re bringing QuipVid back from the dead.
Each presenter will be given the same problem: modernize and rebuild a portion of the beloved but long-abandoned QuipVid app (https://quipvid.com/). But this time, they’ll be leaning hard on tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or whatever strange concoction of prompting, intuition, and desperate googling they consider “vibecoding.”
Just like previous shootouts, presenters will:
• Introduce their chosen tools and AI setup
• Walk through their development process and decisions
• Showcase their solution to the shared challenge
• Reflect on what was awesome, what was painful, and what was totally made up by the AIThis shootout is all about exploring the frontier of software development.
✨Can AI make us faster? Better? Lazier?
✨Can you ship an MVP with just a good prompt and a dream?
