MT HOLLYWOOD TO WISDOM TREE & A FEW PEAKS IN BETWEEN

******Extreme heat cancels this hike******

A nice hike with fantastic views of the mountains, city and ocean.

We might be finished before the end time depends on group.

We will hike to Mt. Lee and the Hollywood sign. On the way stop at Glendale Peak and Cahuenga peak just before we make our way to the Wisdom Tree & Burbank Peak. We may hit up another little peak depending on the group.

History of the Wisdom Tree:
In 2007 there was a wildfire here (the Barham Fire) and the area was devastated; the only tree left standing on the top of Burbank peak was the Wisdom Tree. Local resident Mark Rowlands put a notebook and some pens under the lone tree and visitors started leaving their words of wisdom in it. The tree is also known as "The Giving Tree".

Level-Intermediate/NO BEGINNERS PLEASE!
Distance- 7 miles (approximately)
Gain- 1400 ft (approximately)
Terrain- maintained, rocky & single track
Dogs- well behaved on a leash at all times
Parking- dirt road
