Read Julius Caesar with us!

This will be a grab-bag event, so come prepared to read whatever part the oracle determines. Since the library frowns on actual entrail-reading, we will perform our augury symbolically using strips of paper pulled from a bag. No actual goats will be harmed.

Logistics
Recommended text is Folger's, but we make it work no matter which version you have!

This is an in-person reading. If you are planning to bring snacks, please try to bring ones that will not drop crumbs all over the Forum floor. It will be quite messy enough by Act III.

On the day, we will read through the first half of the play, take a break, read the second half of the play, short break, then have a short discussion. We will break after Act III Scene i, when the ancient world is down to Eight Worthies, then resume for the aftermath and finger-pointing part of the action.

We look forward to reading with you!
