#### Join us online or in person over four Tuesday evenings (Oct 20 to Nov 10) to explore timely wisdom from ancient teachings about meaningful living.

Discover how ancient Buddhist wisdom can help you navigate modern life with greater clarity, compassion, and ease.
Life is full of unexpected changes, challenges, and uncertainties. We chase after what we want, push away what we don't, and often find ourselves caught in the same frustrating emotional patterns. But what if we could learn to relate to life's ups and downs in a different way?

More than 2,500 years ago, the Buddha offered the Four Noble Truths as a practical guide to understanding why we struggle and how we can find greater freedom. Far from being abstract philosophy, these teachings offer insights and practices that are just as relevant to our lives today.

Over this four-week course, we'll explore how to:

  • Recognize and loosen habitual patterns: Become more aware of the thoughts, emotions, and reactions that keep us stuck in familiar cycles.
  • Meet life's challenges with greater resilience: Learn to work with stress, uncertainty, loss, and change rather than constantly struggling against them.
  • Cultivate awareness, compassion, and wisdom: Discover how these qualities can transform the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
  • Bring Buddhist teachings into everyday life: Explore practical ways to apply mindfulness, meditation, and the insights of the Four Noble Truths to our relationships, work, and daily activities.

Through guided meditation, contemplation, Buddhist teachings, and interactive discussion, we'll explore these timeless principles not just as ideas to understand, but as practices we can bring into our lives.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're completely new to Buddhism, continuing your exploration of Buddhist psychology, or an experienced practitioner revisiting foundational teachings, this course offers an opportunity for fresh insight and discovery. No previous experience with Buddhism or meditation is necessary.

Offered in person at Shambhala Los Angeles in Burbank and online via Zoom.
