What we’re about
Welcome to the Shasta Environmental Alliance (SEA) Meetup group! We are a community of environmentally conscious individuals united by our passion for protecting the flora, fauna, land, air, and water of the Sacramento River Watershed through advocacy and education.
Join us to connect with like-minded individuals who share interests in environmental issues in our community. Together, we will learn, hike, collaborate, and take action toward creating a more sustainable world for our families, our children, and future generations!
Be sure to fill out a waiver (each person will need to fill this out every calendar year) before you head out on a trip with us! https://www.ecoshasta.org/events/trip-event-waiver/

Cloverdale Loop Nature Hike
Cloverdale Trailhead, 14201 Cloverdale Road, Igo, ca, USLet’s start the new year off right by getting out on the trails to connect to nature and to one another. The Cloverdale Loop Trail is part of BLM’s Clear Creek Greenway’s trail system. It is considered easy for most, but there are some short steep sections with uneven footing so prepare accordingly. The loop is 1.73 miles and features a short jaunt to a vista point where we can pause to take in the view and if we feel compelled to do so, share some environmental intentions we have for the coming year.
Please come prepared with water, sun/rain protection, sturdy footwear, hiking poles, snack, and anything else you like to use to observe nature, i.e. binoculars, hand lens, etc.
Severe weather cancels. Please fill out this form to sign our waiver and be added to the contact list for updates.

There is No Planet B Book Club
Location not specified yetWe’re excited to announce SEA’s first community book club! The first meeting date will be February 8, 2026, at 2pm. We hope you will join us in exploring books that imagine climate futures we can feel hopeful about. As D.W. Orr reminds us, "hope is a verb with its sleeves rolled up." So let’s roll up our sleeves, open some inspiring books, and come together for conversations about what community climate resilience can look like.
Our first book will be What If We Get It Right? by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. Our meeting location will be determined by how many people sign up, so if you are interested please fill out this brief form. For questions, email juliet@ecoshasta.org4 attendees
