You are invited to join SEA’s California naturalists for an educational walk through a local oak woodland on Sunday, Nov. 15. Oak habitats are a rich tapestry of life that support more living organisms than any other terrestrial ecosystem in California! Fall is a wonderful time to explore these woodlands and to spend time outdoors with one another in more comfortable temperatures. We will observe and discuss the many plant and animal residents of the oak community and their special talents and roles in the interdependent web of life.

This is a flat gravel 1.3-mile loop trail located in northeast Redding. All ages are welcome and dogs on a leash are allowed. We expect this walk to take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water. Heavy rain or wind will cancel.
