Full description:
One of the highlights of the year: the annual pub hunt! Seeing 4 teams trying to make it to the pub first (4 pubs in total) with plenty of added challenges and point-winning opportunities on the way. Please note this is not a running event, nor will you be able to use public transport. We are a walking group after all!

To elaborate a little more, each team is given a map and a clue to a pub and the aim of the game is to figure out the clue and get your team to the pub first to score the most points. However, this is not the only way to score points. There are many other ways to score, as you are on route and at the pubs. Still not clear? Don’t worry, everything will be explained on the day.

Each member of the winning team will win a prize. I would like to encourage you to choose your own team, but no worries if not (we can put you in a team on the day). I would also like to mention that although we are going to pubs, this event does not involve drinking alcohol.

The distance is roughly 9.5 miles and there are 24 spaces available (4 teams of 6 people). Bookings will open on 1st July. There is a cost of £5 each to cover prize money. Public transport options:
This is a linear walk, it is recommended that public transport is used! The walk starts in S11 and ends in S6.

Possible buses to the start are:
81 which leaves the Arundel Gate stop outside the Odeon (AG124) at 09:35 and arrives at 10:01
65 which leaves Sheffield Interchange at 09:35 and arrives at 09:57
272 which leaves Sheffield Interchange at 09:36 and arrives at 10:06
All of these buses stop at the Ecclesall Road South Limb Lane stop opposite the meeting point.

Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food and water. Please bring sun protection if required (sun hat, sunglasses, sun cream etc). Sign-up:
Sign-up for this walk opens on the 1st July and prompt payment is a must. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please be respectful of others and remove yourself from the event so that others can take your place. We request you do this ***NO LATER THAN 6pm*** the night before the walk.

Please note:
Sheffield 20’s and 30’s Walking Group is part of the Ramblers, a registered charity. All of our leaders are volunteers. Everyone is welcome to join us on our walks, there is no need to contact us in advance, and as long as you have a place on our Meetup booking system you can just show up. Non-members can come on up to 3 walks before joining the group. After 3 walks, we require you to sign up as a Ramblers member for insurance purposes.
